Migraineur wanted to speak at Cheltenham Science Festival in June
Posted 23/01/12
The Times Cheltenham Science Festival is a popular six day long event taking place from 12th - 17th June which celebrates science, engineering and the arts and is aimed at the general public.
During the event this year (on the 16th or 17th June - tbc) the organisers are hosting an hour long event looking at migraines which respected migraine expert, Dr Anne MacGregor (previously of the City of London Migraine Clinic) will be speaking at, along with Zameel Cader, who will be talking about his recent research into the genetics behind migraines.
The organisers are also very keen to have a migraineur talk about their personal experiences of migraine at the event. Would you be willing to share your experiences?
The volunteer would be asked to speak for around 5 - 10 minutes as part of the migraine session. This can either be done in an interview style with the chair asking questions or the migraineur can simply just get up and outline their history and experiences of migraine. It may suit a migraineur who has suffered with frequent migraines in the past and who has tried different management / treatment techniques, but now has got their attacks more under control (and for whom the stress / excitement of getting up and talking isn't likely to trigger an attack!)
