I have been surfing today - in my quest to warm my feet - but that's another thread................ and I came across this -

http://healthwyze.org/index.php/treating-migraine-headaches.html

I am not really sure what I am asking here - its a long article - but I found it really interesting.... I just wondered what you all thought and if you had ever tried any of the supplements he mentions?

That's an interesting article. Smile I've done quite a lot of reading around this sort of thing over the years myself. In fact, I'm a bit of a natural health news junkie!

I've heard fantastic things about apple cider vinegar. So far I haven't tried it though, as I have a dodgy stomach, and also teeth problems, which I am currently trying to resolve through ways I won't bore you with now! (if you drink vinegar, you have to rinse it straight off your teeth, but don't brush straightaway).

I've done a lot of reading about omega 3 and 6 lately, and the dangers of the so-called heart healthy polyunsaturated fats. As a result, I've gone back to more simple fats, like butter (goat butter seems to agree with me better than cow's, although it's nowhere near so nice!) Also, I agree on the homogenization of milk - it's no wonder that so many people are allergic these days. As for the polyunsaturated fats, I'd like to know why the incidence of heart disease is consistently on the rise, despite saturated fats being shunned (think I've actually answered my own question there - it's back to natural fats for me!)

Am interested in the taurine mention, as it's not something I've looked much into up to now. Also, the chlorophyll - it's a shame the article doesn't mention why chlorophyll would be helpful.

edit: have just realised, I think the chlorophyll is recommended as it's a source of magnesium.

I have tried a few supplements in the past - but I have always been on normal meds at the same time - and I am sure the side effects have blocked any good the supplements where doing - as I will be med free from tonight GULP - I am going to try some supplements from Monday and see what happens.

I have heard of the cider vinegar before - but like you I have tummy problems and it makes me nervous. I have also gone back to good old butter, olive oil and full fat milk.

The taurine is new to me too. Added that to my reading list lol

I did also see a Chinese doctor a few years back and she gave me all sorts to take - they did nothing for my head, BUT my tummy was a lot better.
