Researchers say they've had real success with a device implanted in patients' heads.

Treatment offers hope to headache sufferers

Does anyone have any additional information about this procedure?

I did a trial of peripheral nerve stimulation for the trigeminal nerve, but it didn't work out for me.  I spoke to a doctor about deep brain stimulation, but I am not ready to have a hole drilled in my skull just yet.

The news article you linked to doesn't say exactly which nerve the device stimulates, but it looks like it is the occipital nerve.  You could google nerve stimulation for migraine to find more information.

Plenty of info on Google about nerve stimulation for migraine, but I haven't found anything related to this particular trial. I guess I'll just have to wait until the results of the study are released.
