To many triggers eeeek .
Have really been trying to take note of my triggers ,have some listed but have noticed others lately that i have overlooked . Light is a biggy strong sunlight ,car headlights ,shop lighting ,flickering effect lighting (sun through trees and camera flash ,strobe ) ,glittery shiny things are hard to look at if eyes are particularly sensetive too .
Sound is a funny one certain pitches and levels in peoples voices when i am sensetive (before and after bad migraine ) anything loud makes me whince and alarm ,beepers too .
Smells become stronger and often trigger nausea . I have noticed geometric patterns set me off lately too stripes especially blk and white ,mats they have in shop entrances our marks and spencers is a bad one silver and blk rubber ,the other day was somewhere that had a lot of block paving in geometric design in a light and dark pattern that really made my eyes go doolally . Also stress is a big one for me this really whacks me out . I find if i get overheated and sweat to much (eeww) that starts a bad head have to make sure i drink plenty of water so summer is not my favourite season .
I think that covers it for the triggers i am aware of . lol xx

Re: To many triggers eeeek .
I amaze myself with stress at the moment, I know it is a big one for me so I just dont do it!!
Even in the worst situations, and believe me in our house we have some really bad ones, I rise above them all now. Although some hit the pit of my stomach I get rid of them fast!!!!
Dont ask me how I do it but I manage it somehow!
If it all gets out of hand I just tell them they are making me ill and walk away!!
We had sirens outside the house last night as they blocked the road off and it nearly killed me, then a family took a fight out onto the street, and we live in a quiet area, everyone else was having a look and I was sitting there quiet ignoring it all.
I have all the lights , stripes ,flashing etc like you also a lot of people talking at once does it for me so I have also learnt to concentrate on either just 1 or block it all out and not listen at all.
Flashing lights I find an odd trigger as its one of my auras, flashing lights/snow type thing thats when I know a bad ones on its way!

Can I join your boat - I am just the same - it is like my senses go into over drive - maybe we are should super heros lol - I am not sure if they are just triggers or a result of the second stage of migraine - ie a aura. My sight, smell and hearing all become acute. Touch does not alter. and I have not tried taste. I mean who can eat when you feel so sick lol
But I am with you Sheena, I just walk away, or put my head in my hands - once the kids see my head in hands they have a discussion on how ill I am and then calm down lol

I 've taken to standing at the farthest corner of the garden..Once on a really bad day ..you know the one's..it is referred to in our home as 'the day it all became too much'
Picture the seen me tramping across the field in my slippers through the cow poo shouting behind me 'and you can look after the kids and make the tea AND put them to bed!'..then as I passed our resident bovine friends I didn't want to appear impolite so mutter 'afternoon ladies' to the bemused cows.
You can walk for miles from our house across open land..and I did..muttering all the way..my fluffy pink slippers covered in unmentionables..when I got home the children were fed, bathed and stories read..and my partner had a distinctly sheepish look to him. He now gets nervous if I head outdoors during stressful times.
