Chronic Migraine & ECH.
Hi ya,
I have had migraine all my life and cluster headaches since 18. I have a cupboard in the kitchen full of drugs, a porch full of 02 cyclinders and a lovely neurologist who continues to refuse to do a headectomy.
Over the years I have tried every preventative and worked my way through most abortive treatements. Now getting used to the idea this really is for life so I had better work with it.
Over time its turned into a cheerful mix of either chronic migraine with aura or cluster bouts. I try and get on with life as much as possible in between juggling three teens, my adult son who has autism, three crazy rabbits and a couple of degrees. In my spare time its rumoured that I sleep.
Sarah told me about this place so hi.

Re: Chronic Migraine & ECH.
Hi Katie nice to meet you. Sorry you have the misfortune to have 2 nasty headache disorders...but you seem to me managing very well despite them.
I am pretty much like you (with out the CH) in that I have worked my way through the treatment process now as well. I actually found it a relief to 'just accept it' in the end..never thought I could get to that place but I did.
Glad you found us and please ask if you have any further questions etc.
kindest regads

Hi yah Katie
Like Sarah I find this really useful. Join us all in the med stakes. I seem to get USED to them over time and have to change.
We all come to terms with it in the end its what we are now so hey ho!! Get on with it.....although I do have my days when I have a good moan.
My Paul just said "I have such a bad headache" then looked at me.
I smiled and said "You can have mine today if you like"
Look forward to chatting
