Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (PENS) Empty Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (PENS)

Neurologist has suggested PENS and referred me to pain specialist. Has anyone had this? Or has anyone got any information about it?
I have a TENS machine and I understand the PENS has a similar approach but electrodes are put under the skin so the target area is more specific.

Sorry penny has just dropped - I was talking to Alotec a few weeks ago about this.........

....Preliminary data presented by Dr Nardi of Marcerata Hospital in Italy, at the 15th World Congress of Pain Clinicians in Granada, Spain last week, includes a patient with Cluster Headache who benefitted from 2.5mths complete relief after a single 25 minute treatment of PENS therapy®.

Algotec's unique PENS therapy® is a form of peripheral nerve stimulation. In the case of Cluster Headache, an electrically conductive Probe is placed along the course of a peripheral nerve to control pain.

PENS therapy® is an extremely safe, efficient and effective way to control a variety of neuropathic pain conditions..........

I would love to hear how you get on x
