burnt my hand...

I am typing slow - one handed - so will reply to the other threads in a few days,,,,,,,,,,,,

coming out a scale 9 from thw twin party on saturday and i tried to feed the kids - burn the lamb in the oven as i lost concept of time......... so thought pasta and fish would be easy......... draining the pasta my left hand gave way and boiling water went all over my fingers........... lost the skin off all 4 fingers..... thumb is ok........... amazingly i remembered what to do and ran it under cold water - my son called my mum and hubby and off to a&e i went............. full waiting room but they rushed me in............ i think they understood but i was loosing the plot by this stage and the pain OMG...

I am doing a good impression of a mummy right now

It never rains but it pours. You poor thing. How long are they saying it will take to heal?

I find out tomorrow on both accounts - see the nurse for assessment on hand and dentist for assessment on teeth..........

On the plus side the stronger codine they gave me for the hand also helps with the theeth But Dr S is not going to be happy....

Yes thank you - the bandages are off - its still red and tender and skin is peeling round the edge - but it will be fine x

It's good to know that some things about our bodies work - like healing from an injury. Glad you are on the mend.
