 B12 and Q10 Empty B12 and Q10

Post by h.tomlinson Tue Apr 10, 2012 7:04 pm

Has anyone ever heard of or used B12 and Q10 for migraine treatment? There was an article in the newspaper a relative passed to me stating B12 400mg and Q10 150mg could be helpful. I have sourced and started the Q10 but finding it impossible to get the B12 in such a high dosage. I will let you know if the Q10 makes any difference!

Do you mean vitamin B2, not B12? There is no way anyone should be taking as high as 400 mg a day of B12. It sounds like the recommended dosage for B2 though.

I take vitamin B2 every day, since I found it helped me in the past. I think it does still help me a little now.

I've also tried Coenzyme Q10, and took it for quite a while. I found it helped me with reducing my migraines with aura, but not the other sort, which were my main problem.

Perhaps it was B2, I don't have the article anymore. I know it said the dose was very high and would turn your urine shocking yellow.

I don't have aura so perhaps the Q10 will not be any help for me but I will continue for a few mths to see.

Definitely B2 then! Vitamin B2 is bright orange and does indeed turn wee the same colour. Very Happy

I was advised to give B2 and coenzyme Q10 a try I tried them for several months but were unbeneficial for me. It's certainly worth a try is my view.

This article tells you how much B2 you should be taking. I need to double up!
