Any ideas on how we can help during migraine awareness week?
Migraine Awareness Week (MAW) is a yearly affair starting on the first Sunday in September. In 2011 it runs from Sunday 4th September to Saturday 10th September.
Every year The Migraine Trust and Migraine Action promote this week. The week aims to raise awareness of this much-misunderstood condition and encourage those affected to seek information and advice to help manage their migraine.
Posters and leaflets can be obtained from the following:
Migraine Trust

Migraine Action

But what else could we do...... any ideas?

Get involved with Migraine Awareness Week
Did you know 50%* of migraineurs find their current migraine medication ineffective and 45%* of migraineurs feel their healthcare professional is disinterested in their migraine, leaving them struggling to manage their condition?
This year to help raise awareness of this much-misunderstood condition, we have launched a new campaign called ‘Can you put a price on pain’ - focusing on the difficulties that migraineurs face in getting treatments that could really help make a difference to their lives.
The support of migraineurs is key to the success of Migraine Awareness Week. By spreading the word you can increase understanding of the condition, the impact it can have on thousands of people, and help to lessen the feeling of isolation felt by many migraineurs.
If you wish to request a campaign pack to distribute to your local GP's surgery, pharmacies, work place etc. please contact us by emailing info@migraine.org.uk or call us on 0116 275 8317 - indicating the number of packs you require (one pack has 10 leaflets and one poster).
Alternatively, please download our order form by clicking on the link below; you can then either email the completed form to marketing@migraine.org.uk, fax it back to us on 0116 254 2023 or post it to Migraine Action, 4th Floor, 27 East Street, Leicester, LE1 6NB.
These materials are supplied to you free of charge; if you would like to make a donation to help us continue our vital work, your support would be greatly appreciated.
