Re: Our 'positive' list
On recovering from migraine I can spend as long as I like listening to the radio and doing very little else.

Re: Our 'positive' list
I am lucky, in that I only really have myself to worry about (the husband can look after himself!), so I can take days out of my life, like today, to just try to recover in bed.

I often think that - I must save so much on clothes and make up!

Love that one - I too have saved a fortune on shoes.......... I have 3 pairs and never wear them
Re: Our 'positive' list
I have real trouble finding shoes that fit (I'm a size 3 and my feet are about as wide as they are long!), so for me I save a lot of angst trying to find shoes I can wear to work and special occasions etc - there is no work, and there are very rarely special occasions!

After suffering a severe HM attack whilst at QS on Day Care on Thursday I was admitted (I did try to make my great escape ) but thankfully Friday afternoon Dr S said meaning it is a 4 day weekend I could go home, as long as I up date him on Wednesday and they arranged transport...such relief!

Elvis Presley, Claude Monet, Julius Caesar, Albert Einstein......all had migraine. What an amazing lot we are!
Re: Our 'positive' list
Indeed - some very gifted talented creative people - and YOU ARE ALL one of them xxx
Re: Our 'positive' list
Being offered an extra pillow to put on top of my head by my 2 (nearly 3 now!!) year old daughter and when she says 'I will hug you so you will be okay again' (and her little disappointed sigh when it doesn't miraculously heal me). At least she will grow up to be someone who understands migraine and will help spread awareness and might offer much needed support to another sufferer.
I do sometimes feel sad to miss out on so much time with her.
Massive positive chronic migraine has brought me is just like Laura said: no energy for anger. Or bearing a grudge for that matter. It is strange that something that flares up with stress is getting so bad when I am seemingly so calm and easygoing about everything!!!

Re: Our 'positive' list
awww children are priceless when they see the pain.... we were discussing future jobs with my kids one dinner and my then 7 yr old said he was going to be a doctor - totally out of the blue - and why......... so he can find a cure for migraine Too sweet.
I totally get the no energy for anger - you realise that a lot in life which people stress about really does not matter at all............. x

Re: Our 'positive' list
I'm still amazed by the amount of empathy (rather than sympathy) that small children and animals display when I have a migraine. I can still find joy even in the worst of my condition whenever they are near.

I may not be able to tune out the pain, but I can tune out irritating and annoying people by using the pain...

It has allowed me to save a life......... my awareness of the effects of the meds allowed me to spot someone who was on the verge of suicide and I managed to get them to a GP and off the meds
Re: Our 'positive' list
I'm enjoying the wrapping of Xmas prezzies and listening to the cheesy Xmas tunes on the radio. Some make me think of xmases past and others make me smile. I love reminiscing with my brother about those and other times, we can laugh!!!
