I'm just writing to a doc letting him know one of his patients doesn't need migraine meds anymore. As I've said, I love this type of stuff as it's really transformed my life. I'm in the process of doing something BIG in 2012, I'll keep you all informed!

This is really interesting - and may explain why, although I have a very long history of menstrual related migraine, I've frequently woken up with migraine; had unexplained ear pain/sinus related pain; woken up grinding my teeth and have difficulty/discomfort/clicking opening my jaw?!

Last year I asked my dentist what may be the cause of my jaw problems - it's really difficult to keep my mouth open wide enough during examinations. He just brushed the comment off, and said if he had time he could write me a 10,000 word thesis.
I'd be happy to read it...!

By the way, since having the hysterectomy and removal of ovaries in December (not for migraine cure I must add!!) I've had 2 episodes of migraine at the times I should have had a period. This is strange seeing as the ovaries have been removed!

Its early days and I'll keep you informed of their pattern. Obviously I'm hoping they will cease, but although they followed a cyclical pattern, seeing this jaw information, maybe they were not entirely hormonally attributed?!

Brushing it off is common, but if you understand the implications it's an incredibly important aspect of pain relief and shouldn't be dismissed!

I'll ask him about it again at my next appointment and mention your work Pav. Maybe I'll get a more useful response
