Hyperactive on day before migraine

My wife has noticed that I often become hyperactive the day before a migraine strikes. She says on these occasions I talk incessantly (I'm normally quite reserved) often repeating myself and interrupting others. Also my movements are fast and erratic and she becomes concerned that I might break something around the house. My daughter also makes the same claim - that I'm almost manic in behaviour. I can't say that I have noticed that behaviour, although I have noticed that if I feel extremely well, a strong migraine is only a day away.
Has anyone else had similar experiences?

I sometimes find that I have a good day, and am a whirlwind around the house, getting stuff done. But I'm never sure whether that's just because I'm trying to get things done on a good day, or whether I've gone hyperactive. I often then wake up the following day feeling like I've been hit round the head with a brick, wondering whether I've over-done it the day before.

Yes, it's a bit like a chicken and egg situation. Did the migraine arrive because I was too active the day before, or was the hyperactivity due to an oncoming migraine?


Although from my daughter's description I suspect it's the latter. Se is very cautious about letting me play with the grandchildren when I'm hyper as she says I to tend to be unnecessarily aggressive in the play. For example trying to swing the children about when there isn't enough space to do so safely. So as much as I hate doing so, when I'm feeling on top of the world, I restrict my activities with them to reading stories and similar activities. Anything of a more active nature is out, even though it goes against everything I feel at the time.
