Three to 5 percent of U.S. residents suffer from Raynaud's disease. For most of them, it's an inconvenience.

Most, but not all.

Named for the 18th century French physician Maurice Raynaud, who is credited with its discovery, Raynaud's causes parts of the body — fingers, toes, ears, tip of the nose, for example — to feel cold and numb from exposure to cold or because of stress. It happens because smaller arteries supplying blood to the skin grow narrow, decreasing circulation to areas affected.

I was actually diagnosed with Raynaud's Disease years ago, and the doctor who diagnosed it said it was common in migraine sufferers. But, I honestly don't think I have it; I don't get the pain and white fingers etc. I just think I have poor circulation.
