strobe lights and flickering screens Empty strobe lights and flickering screens

Post by onandoffagain Thu Jun 09, 2011 2:26 am

I often used to wonder why I would always feel really sick and faint after using my mums computer, sometimes Id have to lie on the floor i felt so ill. then I discovered I developed a sever migraine while out drinking (not a result of alcohol) but at parties where there were disco lights.
I also used my Dada computer the other day which has a clearly flickering screen which made my HM left side aura worse and my brain waves start popping (excuse the weird descriptions)
And have just after several long years have put all this things together in a eurica moment!
I was driving along today feeling really remarkably well, with no aura, no pain, no sickness, brilliant! I drove along a particular piece of road that is shaded by trees. The trees aren't constant and on a sunny day like today the light was shining intermittently through the trees like a natural strobe light as I drove along. I immediately started to feel spacey and strange, nauseas and pain began in my left head side.

So there we have it, all of a sudden so many things make sense! I am triggered by flashing lights and strobe effects. Do a little dance Do a little dance

I've always hated strobe lights, and I hate the way at the cinema you only get a warning just before you buy your tickets, It's a bit bloomin' late by then. I've seen Titanic about 10 times now, and there is a whole section that I've never seen, due to having my hand in front of my face, or having left the room, during it!

The flickering trees get me too but I can sit on the laptop fine but only listen to the TV as watching it is too much for me mainly the ads though!
I take the grandbabies to the cinema once a month armed with dark glasses a pain killer and keep my head bowed down, thats what nannies are for cheers

I take the kids to an autism friendly showing once month which works great for all of us as they turn the volume down and leave the lights on dim so there isn't such a harsh contrast between screen and arena.
Most Cineworld cinemas have a showing once a month.
