just want to say hi to everyone im Rebecca, its nice to hear other peoples stories and they do make me feel not so alone.

Ive recently been diagnosed with HM i had never suffered from migraines in my life so after my collapse at the beginning of april i was shocked to learn that i had suffered from a migraine and not a stroke as when i came round i was extremely weak down one side and my speech was slurred i had no idea that a migraine could do so much damage.

After physio my walking is more or less back to normal its just a shame that the rest of my life isnt following suit!, hopefully things should eventually get back on track and life should be as normal as possible look forward to chatting to you guys.

Hi Rebecca sorry to hear you have HM as welll and most of us do as well on here and live quite well with it. Its quite a shock when it hits you first off isnt it.
Im getting over a bad cold so a bit under the weather so not making much sense. Good to see you on here.... with friends we will all help you as much as poss Smile I have had it now for nearly 3 years and used too its odd effects on me, my memory, my speech sometimes and the general way I cope with life but I have a very caring understanding family and that helps.
Will talk soon
Lotsa love and Hugs

Hello Rebecca! Very Happy

Wow what an introduction to migraines, you sound like you are doing remarkable well in a very short space of time. Well done.

There are quite a few members with HM on here so I am sure they will be along soon to welcome you as well. If you want to ask anything specific just put up a post and we will try and help/point you in the right direction etc.

Are you currently under a neurologist who is a headache specialist and are they trying any preventative measures?

Hi Rebecca

Glad you made it here Smile - welcome

As I have said before the forum is full of lovely people, a lot who have had HM for many years - the first one is a huge shock so if you have any questions (even little ones) fire away.

When do you next see your consultant?
