Looking for Volunteers
Hi, apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place!
I'm a student at the University of Kent, and we're currently running a study investigating a new treatment for migraine. We're finding it a little difficult to get hold of eligible participants from the student population, and so I was wondering whether any of you would be interested.
Before commencing treatment, participants would keep a daily headache diary for approximately one month. The treatment is based on a painless, non-invasive form of neuro-stimulation and is self-administered using a pair of headphones. Each treatment lasts around 20 minutes and is performed twice a day for three months, and participants would continue with the diary each day.
We're ideally looking for volunteers who suffer between 4 and 9 migraines per month, although if this is slightly higher or lower we could still consider inclusion. The study is based at the Canterbury campus of the University of Kent, although participants would only have to travel here a few times over the duration of the study (the treatment itself is administered at home by the participant, and the diaries will be collected via email each day).
If you have any other questions about the study please feel free to get in touch.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message.
Best wishes,
Maria Gallagher
