Migraine Cure Clinic - what do you think?

I agree, when you read it, what is written is fairly plausible, but the style and presentation of the material stinks of a 'get rich quick' scheme. I am open to the idea that migraine maybe caused by a virus or infection, but if that is the case, it does then raise a query of the hereditary aspect of migraine.
People suffering from chronic ailments are vulnerable to all sorts of exploitation by charlatans (as I know to my own cost), so it is important to be careful about anything that makes miracle claims.
On the other hand it would be interesting to hear from anyone who has undergone this treatment.

I agree. The style of it makes you sceptical. I am also fairly sceptical about the infection theory but, on the other hand, I used to feel so much better with my head whenever I was on antibiotics (which wouldn't fit with a virus, but would with a bacteria).
Very interesting, nonetheless...

Re: Migraine Cure Clinic - what do you think?
I would love to hear from someone who has tried this...................
I think I will send an email - there are a couple of things which I am not sure about - ie as you say usedtobejolly this does not take into account the family link - also if this is true how can the triggers be explained - ie why would smells and stress and weather make it worse.....? I also want to know if he is a doctor and if not how is he able to prescribe.... Also if there is research that this is the case why have the other neuros not picked it up................ the only reason I have not thrown it away is because of the research I have just done into HaNDLE syndrome which is a known virus which mimics stroke and HM.....

I was also skeptical because one of the 'infections' listed isn't actually treatable anyway.
Would be interested in what they have to say though.

What do you need to know?
I think I can probably answer most questions about the clinic, or can obtain an answer.

Re: Migraine Cure Clinic - what do you think?
I would like to know whether they think this can help all types of migraine? If so how and how do they determine what is treatable.
Most current research, backed by neuros states there is a genetic/family link..and this is certainly been the case in my family (although I am the worst sufferer out the lot *shrugs*). If this is the case can they point us in the direction of the research papers explaining the viral/bacterial theory?
Many thanks

HI whitzend Jane.
To be frank, Greg is a strange man. It is difficult to know what he really believes. One could be easily convinced that he is sincere in what he does from his own point of view.
Have you had a good look at his web site?
Did you see all the other things that are treated as viral/bacterial.
He has a lot of anecdotal evidence to back this up. It is quite convincing.
I am not sure where he stands on the genetic link. But as I am the only one in my family with migraines, I am not convinced myself.
I dont mean I dont accept it, I do, but it is not the case for me, nor many others.
I was not offered anything in the way of what might be called research papers when I enquired and the biggest problem was the cost. It is huge. There are apparently expensive homeopathic tinctures to be bought. He doesnt tell you this, it comes out ltaer when you have had the tests at the clinic, and he has assured you he can help...He says it is a leap of faith in the beginning.
I have tried to find people who have had the treatment and are better, but other than on his web page, I cannot.
I dont imagine he will distinguish between kinds of migraine.
He didnt with IBS. As they are all caused by pathogens, then the treatment is the same for all. He would probably tell you the cause is the same regardless of your own particular experience.
Sorry, my head is hurting, and it is getting late.
I hope that helps a bit, and I will try to remember more if need be.

Sometimes I think the common germ is becoming an easy target or excuse for all diseases these days, and that we're completely barking up the wrong tree...
