1st September

Post by whitzendJane on Fri Sep 02, 2011 8:55 am

Hi

Sorry I haven't been too active on the boards of late. There's been a lot going on to say the least.
MY health's been a bit pants and I had a brief spell in hossie for checks on my pancreas/ liver then home..but I have been quite unwell with my non migraine ailments.

On top of that my partner has been under going (and is still going through) the assessment process as it is suspected he has an Autistic Spectrum disorder..it is also suspected that one of our sons is showing similar traits and he is awaiting assessment too.

We saw a specialist today who seems pretty sure my partner Brian has Aspergers syndrome but Brian has to see various specialists before it's official..he sees someone else tomorrow. As for our son ..well school starts next week and it's going to be hell. I am really going to miss the boys when they go back and Owen is already dreading it. Reception class was a nightmare for him and until we can figure out what he needs and have his diagnosis there seems to be little we can do but wing it for now Sad

I am getting worse and worse migs (typically) due to the worry and I have got Owen on an even keel over the holidays. He's happy again and now I feel I am throwing him to the lions again..poor kid. I am going to have to be on my toes and proactive.

Sorry it all feels a bit full on but I am trying to break it up into little chunks..we will get there adn I have a plan A, B, C and D in my head Smile

I have been reading your posts but sorry if I have written as much. Thanks to Tee for being so supportive, being a good friend and doing a fab job on the forum.

Hi Hunny

Sorry its all just too much at the moment - but as you say - small chunks and one step at a time...... try not to fill that head of yours with too many plans - you will explode.....

Owen was so anxious he was sick this morning and in tears tonight.
He's completely in denial that he is going into a different class next week.

I feel so let down by the school who did not listen to my concerns all through reception class. I have decided to give it a week and if it is as bloody hellish as before then I am going reconsider our options.

I will not waste another year of his life putting him through this confusion and anxiety..I couldn't live with myself as I know in my gut this isn't right.
