Still in misery Empty Still in misery

Hey all. Not been on for a while not been in a good place and didn't have the energy to log on. I lost my job a mth back due to my lack of concentration and memory problems from the pain and the meds. My employer didn't really know about my issues as I had only worked there 2 mths. I am now looking for another job as I need to pay the bills but I am so worried I won't be able to do the job again. So worried I am coming off my meds I have decided the pregabalin is giving me more side effects than benefuts so am slowly coming off it. I am also coming off the OxyContin the pain clinic put me on a few mths ago as that also doesnt seem to work. So that will just leave me with oramorphe when I hit 8+. I guess I am just feelin really down and a bit scared. My husband tells me to take my time looking for another job but he doesnt seem to stress about the bills. I finds it hard to picture the rest of my life in this misery without hope of just one good day. Just needed to vent with people that understand I am sure friends and family are scared to ask how I am anymore.

So sorry to hear you lost your job. Sad

I wish I could help, but all I can do is nod with understanding when I'm reading your post, as I so know how you feel.

I guess the way I cope with it is just not to try to plan ahead too much, y'know? I have some ideas of things I'd really like to do if I had more pain-free days, but I try not to think about them too much, as it's too depressing to, and makes me feel too dissatisfied with my lot.

I really hope you can find a suitable job that will be OK for you. Best of luck and keep in touch. xxx

I guess it just helps that you all understand and are generally going thr the same thing. Exhaustion is king today when I get off the meds i hope this will go away then I will just be left with the pain but today that seems a good trade.
You take care too x

I am so sorry you lost your job -- but glad you have a husband who seems understanding. If you have the luxury of time, I hope you can get your meds worked out before taking up the job search. And know there are those her who understand.

BIG HUGS H........... I am sorry to read this but sadly totally understand......... please do try not to stress to much - it will not help you - let your husband take some of the strain and take that break he is offering........... Have you spoken to your GP I wonder if he could sign you off - long term - so that you can claim benefit in order to make ends meet?

There is a whole section on here re benefits and I am sure others will help with advice - but it does sound like you need a break from the stress and time to get the meds plan working..... Hug
