That's enough already - I just want the world to stop turning so I can get off - I am now on day 5 with an average scale 8 - 10. I feel like I have been run over by a herd of buffalo. I am not sure if its the weather or that we ran out of coffee last Thursday? I cannot remember how many days you have to go before you are back to status migraineous? But I have totally gone backwards. I have hit the pills too (at scale 9/10 with the horses kicking my head I can not cope so have to) so am now worried about rebound Scream Scream Scream Scream

I am just comming out of one of those nasty beasties.
12 days *grimaces* My headache clinic specialist nurse advised hitting the swine very hard with all the drugs I can have [easy with the triptains though] and rest as much as possible. This time they threw in tramadol as I refussed to take diazapam whilst still caring for my disabled son.
Today I have not had to take more than three aspirin and I have been taking the max dose of all my drugs for five days after piddling about from fear of rebound headache the previous week. There is no sign of rebound headache but dear God do I have a migraine hangover postdome phase with hungover vertigo.

If you have a neurologist have you tried calling them? Any migraine running at full pelt for more than 72 hours may need help to bring it to a halt. Its even more iimportant to get help if you are being sick. If normal abortive measures are falling give either your GP or hospital a call for help. Hope you do feel a bit better and soon.

Thanks ladies - I just needed to scream....

hHubby went out for coffee - 3 cups downed already Smile It will be interesting to see if that does have an effect....... Currently praying for the storm to come and cool things down a bit.

I have a GP appointment tomorrow - will mention it - but I doubt there is much he can do - might try a new triptan.

Next Botox round is on 2nd Sep so a few months to go yet Sad

I plan on doing nothing for the rest of the week - I have a summer ball on Saturday and I so want to make it Smile At least its a doctors ball, so if I keel over i hope someone will know what to do lol

Really hope you have a better day today. x

I'll be interested to hear about the caffeine. I'm still on my gradual caffeine reduction plan. I do actually feel a bit better, but that might be a coincedence, or it might be due to something else (the homeopathic remedy).

Am loving the idea of a doctors' ball. I wonder if that means they'd all rush to help, or all look to each other! Very Happy Seriously, hope you can make it.

Well GP just shrugged his shoulders - so gonna stay as I am and hope.

Also saw the dietitian as doc was worried I had put too much weight on too quick (the Epilim effect!) - she looked at my diary and told me to eat and drink MORE!!! Apparently wine does not count lol

I did manage to drag myself to the the shops today (I mean one shop lol) and have bought a new dress - the damn zip on my old dress stopped working another Epilim effect I think. So cinderella may make the ball IF the migraine step mum does not step in.

Well, fingers crossed those cute little Disney mice sort you out with a lovely dress (or maybe your fairy godmother!), and the migraine step mum stays well away!
