Migraines are ruining my life.
Ever since I was little I remember suffering from migraines. As I got older they only got worst. Senior year I missed almost a quarter of the school year because of my migraines and now i'm a freshman in college and I had to take the semester off because of my migraines. I've also suffer from depression and anxiety all my life. But my migraines are ruining my life. I'm just trying to find relief so I can get back to school and life.
Has anybody found something that has given you relief?

Hi and welcome.
I know just how you feel and wish I had an easy answer for you. What have you tried, eg preventative medication from the doctor, supplements etc?

Hi breezyj,
Welcome. Unfortunately what works for one person may not necessarily work for another. I've tried practically every migraine medication available in NZ. Most have been ineffective, while those that did work had side effects as bad or worse as the migraine.
My migraines started in my early teens, got less severe in my twenties, then slowly got worse over the next 40 years. I has to stop full time work in 1999 and have been unable to work at all since 2008.
Do you have access to a migraine specialist you can consult with to map out a possible course of treatment?
