I haven't found much - but from what I have found i get the impression the only symptom is pain - it does not include other symptoms that may affect other parts of the body or other generalized symptoms. But one write-up says it is frequently associated with migraine.

awww penny has dropped - I know it as trigeminal neuralgia - I have a ? on this - at Christmas I got a sinus infection and it caused massive facial pain - my GP put me straight on antibiotics but my consultant said we need to watch for trigeminal neuralgia - a complication for some migainers - he said it is where the nerve gets over active and you feel more than others - it can get so bad that a feather touch feels like a hammer........... he told me not to get a cold again!!!!
